
The project “Greek Experience and Know-how in Support of Bulgaria” is financed by the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, measure Mobility.
Beneficiaries under the project have been young unemployed workers from the region of Bansko and Gotse Delchev with secondary or specialized secondary education and as of the beginning of the project are registered in Employment Bureau – Razlog or in Bansko branch.
The beneficiaries have undergone a six-week pedagogic and cultural preparation, as well as education in Greek in Bulgaria. During their three-month placement in Drama, Greece, which have taken place from July to October 2004 in the production facilities of the host organization in Drama, Greece, the young unemployed workers have been trained in PVC door and window production in accordance with the European standards and have gained practical skills and experience in this sphere.
The choice of Greece as a partner in the project and host-country is determined by the geographical proximity, as well as by the fact that as an EU member with richer experience in PVC door and window production, the country can offer quality vocational training corresponding to the European requirements and experience.
