3rd SUSTAIN-T Partner Meeting in Sofia

3rd SUSTAIN-T Partner Meeting in Sofia

On October 4-5, 2018, ECQ hosted the third transnational partner meeting within the Sustain-T project. The Learning Content is shaping up nicely, with 3 out of 6 modules finalized. Once it is ready, it will provide tourism micro- and small enterprises (MSEs) with concise information and best practices related to:

  • proper management of tourism businesses, which takes into account the socio-economic development, use of resources and environmental protection

  • proper use of environmental and cultural heritage as a driver for competitiveness of tourism businesses and destinations

  • networking and collaboration in development of sustainability initiatives

  • effective marketing of sustainable tourism products for maximizing economic benefits to tourism businesses

Partners also discussed the preliminary version of the Self-audit, Resource-mapping and Ideation tools. These tools will help tourism MSEs to assess their sustainability performance, identify resources for improving their sustainability and identify ideas for joint sustainable tourism initiatives.

Topics related to project management, quality management, dissemination and exploitation of the project results were also discussed. Next tasks were scheduled for the consortium to deliver project outputs before March 2019.

Next year in April, Sustain-T learning materials and online tools will be presented to tourism MSEs at Training launch seminars. Until then, follow us on Facebook and Twitter and read more about the project on the website www.sustain-t.eu!
