The project “New Technologies for Ecological Agricultural Production” is financed by the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, measure Mobility.

  The aim of the project was the sending a group of 15 young unemployed workers on a three-month vocational training placement in the field of production and processing of ecologically clean lettuce and dandelions in Greece. The placement took place in real work conditions, provided by the Greek partner and host organization under the project – Greek company Association for Vegetables Processing, Agios Athanasios, Greece, and addressed the acquisition of professional skills, know-how and work habits in the already mentioned production sector and in compliance with the European standards and experience. Beneficiaries under the project were young unemployed workers from the region of Blagoevgrad Municipality with secondary or specialized secondary education and as of the beginning of the project are registered in Labour Office – Blagoevgrad Municipality.

  The choice of Greece as a partner in the project and host-country was determined by the similar nature and climate conditions, as well as the fact that as an EU member with richer experience in production of ecologically clean products, the country can offer quality vocational training corresponding to the European requirements and experience.
